Hi all,
I have recently served a VT on my 3.5 year old Mercedes C class. 3rd April. I used the form on the site.
They didn't get back to me, so i called to make sure they had received it, they said on the phone it needed a wet signature, so i signed and emailed back to them.
I've not heard anything from them at all, no emails to confirm, on the phone i asked for everything in writing, they said BCA would be in contact, not heard anything from them either.
They said I had to sign a VT form but i said I wouldn't be signing any documents as I didn't need to
Its 10 working days today since i sent the email, but on monday will be 14 days, as mentioned in the letter.
I was on a 4 year agreement 10,000 miles a year, but ive done 55000 at this point, so by their logic im about 20,000 miles over which i guess at 9p a mile would equate to £1800. So thought it was worth a least looking into.
I do remember when I took out the agreement i was sat with my boss as he had bought a mercedes the week before and he knew the salesman, i wasn't happy with over £500 a month payments and said id probably need 15,000 miles as i would do 10,000 business in it. The chap at the time said that we could get it down by just setting it at 10,000 and i could VT if i went over anyway. so he got the figure down to £471 and we shook hands. Maybe I was being naive at the time.
What should I do here, just sit and wait for them to get in contact? I'm still paying tax and insurance on it, and could get a rebate, but should i hold off for now and just wait for them to get in contact?
Ive taken absolutely tons of pictures, I also sent the car to my mates bodyshop and he has fixed any damage that would be flagged by them such as dents and ive had all the alloys refurbished. The car is in immaculate condition for its age. (Cost me £550)
