  • Voluntary Termination PCP

    Hello

Due to certain circumstances out of my control, I am going to struggle to keep paying my car finance, I've rang VW up and found out I am £820 short from my 50% mark to allow me to vt my contract. I am willing to pay this now and then I will send an email letting them know I want to vt my contract using a template from some of the other forums I've seen. When exactly can you cut off the further payments they take out every month? Do I have to wait for confirmation off VW that the contract is finished or is it until the car is collected? I imagine they are going to drag it out which would then mean i would get to the end of the month and another £300 would be collected from my account when I've already got to the 50% mark. They've also said I need to fill a form out, after reading other threads on here I've come to understand this isn't a great idea as your basically signing up to pay for damages, they said it has to be filled out for the process to start, do I just keep arguing that I've payed the 50% and stated I want the contract over which is in my rights so you just need to collect the car. I'm not willing to sign this or anything the person who is inspecting my vehicle is going to hand me as I feel my car is in good working condition apart from some scratches to alloys and ive read too many stories about people getting bills through the door for damage charges. Its has had it's MOT and service from VW every year but this is due again in March/April so if it drags on this long are they entitled to tell me i should be paying for this again? Or if they carry out a service and MOT when they receive it and something is flagged up am I obliged to pay for this, it could be that the brake fluid is due to be changed etc.

    Any help is welcome
    Thanks
