Hi there,
I'm looking for some help with a MET parking fine that my fiancé & I received a few weeks ago whilst parked in the Mcdonald's carpark at Gatwick. We genuinely didn't spot any signs stating the 60 minute limit (and in our defence, it was 4:30 am!), so we went in for a coffee, used the wifi etc, and apparently overstayed by 13 minutes.
We've already done the first bit of the appeal and it has been rejected with a POPLA code sent back to us yesterday. We said "the driver", who was a genuine customer of Mcdonalds, did not see the signage & therefore stayed longer than the 60 minute limit - they rejected the appeal and sent a site map back including the signage (I've attached the original letter, along with their most recent response and the signage they sent).
How do we go about appealing with POPLA? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Stephanie
