hello.
first i shall explain the situation and how it came about.
My mum has been going to swimming classes for a couple of months at the riverside leisure centre in norwich, and had to recently change the membership type from broadly active to a system run by the centre itself (run by places for people).
after her last broadly active session, she was told of the memberships they had on offer, and ways to save money on the courses etc. this lasted for at least an hour (much loner than it should have, she had to queue for at least 20 minutes). she registered and came home thinking nothing of it..
little did she know, she had overstayed by twenty minutes. she was not informed about overstaying by ANY of the attending staff, all of the signs in the car park are at LEAST 2 feet above my head height (im at least a foot taller than her) and even with my comparatively excellent eyesight are fairly hard to read. any other signs are extremely easy to miss or next to the main door on the exterior only (easily obscured).
i have attempted to convince the management of the facility to do something about this, but really i can tell that he couldnt be bothered/didnt care and hes basically said "there are signs, its her fault" and is refusing to do anything about this (in my opinion completely unfair) charge.
i have a scan of the "notice" from met parking (with personal details removed of course) that i could upload if this would be of any help?
we received the "notice" yesterday (saturday 12th september 2015), and it was dated 8th september 2015.
any advice will be greatly appreciated.
