Hi,
I'm another person who's fallen fowl of an Aldi ParkingEye parking charge and new to the forum... Apologies if I'm going over old ground.
I parked in an Aldi carpark on a Sunday and found the pay & display machine wasn't working. (Unsure if this happens every Sunday).
Assuming the 2 hour restrictions therefore didn't apply, I parked for quarter of an hour over the alloted time and have been sent a parking charge as my car was photographed by ParkingEye – which I was unaware of after carefuly reading the signs.
The signs don't state that 2 hours of parking actually includes the time entering the carpark, finding a space, paying for a ticket and leaving!
I've read a few threads that suggests keeping an appeal letter short and succinct
but is it best to email an appeal or to send a letter recorded delivery so there is proof?
– I'm obviously conscious of needing to act immediately and need an up-to-date letter template.
Any advice much appreciated, thanks.
