This is situation. I couldn't respond to claim via MCOL as it wouldn't accept defence pass pack password,so I filed via post. A few weeks later I received a default judgement!
I wrote to court explaining I had proof of postage (normal post) for the claim form, received no response. After eventually getting though on phone I was told to email,and a week after I have now received a reply saying provide proof of recorded delivery(?) or "if you dispute the debt and want to remove the CCJ from your credit record, please fill in an N244 Court Application Form completing sections 1,2,3,10 and 11: In Section 3 you should ask for ‘Judgment to be Set Aside’ and give reasons why you don’t agree with it"
So thats the situation,I have by 17th to pay the fine or CCJ is recorded.
