  • I don’t know where to go now, I’ve tried everything.

So My mrs received a letter through the post, a parking ticket which was me driving at the time, so I took it.

I got my other half to send letter back saying it was me driving (just wanted to add a bit of additional work for the parking ticket issuer, then I was going to pay it) but the letter never came.

I thought it had just went away, then roll on to May this year I went to check my credit score as I do monthly, and it was down a lot.

I then decided to call Experian as there was a county court judgment on my account, which naturally I thought was a mistake.

Had a long string of calls after spanning 4-5 hours.
Experian advised calling the court and giving me the case number. It took 1 hour to get through to someone at the court. I told them I had not received any phone calls or letters as the address had a spelling mistake. It had the correct postcode and number, but the address was incorrect. They told me to either fork out a load of costs (can’t remember what for) or contact BW legal, so I contacted BWLegal and they said I should contact civil, they told me they can’t do anything, and that I need to call a lawyer, which I did and they told me it’s not something they think would be worth helping with!

so I am at a completely dead end and don’t know what to do.

You will have to consider applying to the County Court to "set aside" the judgment.

Here is a guide to the process: https://legalbeagles.info/library/ho...-judgment-ccj/
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf
