  • Another CCJ Parking Claim

    Bit of de-ja vu here.

I have received a CCJ pack from Northampton.

    In a nutshell:

Parked up at Crickley Hill, Gloucestershire - a nature reserve. Thought I'd paid the £2 fee to park there (this covers 24hrs). Unfortunately looks like the charge wasn't taken by the machine. Have a witness to that attempt.

It is National Trust owned, managed by the local wildlife trust. Parking fines by Minster Baywatch.

Got a letter demanding a ridiculous sum a few days later; clearly the money hadn't been taken - are the machines 100% error free?

I promptly paid by BACS the £2 required. This payment has neither been declined or acknowledged. Further letters followed. I emailed the Minster Baywatch to tell them I'd paid the BACS money (got an auto reply, promise of payment within 30 days. Obviously no reply to that point).

    Threats followed, no the CCJ.

I don't owe them to cost of parking. I just haven't paid their outrageous penalty. Taking me to court for not paying?

Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.
