Hi,
I have received a parking charge notice today from Excel Parking saying that I parked in a car park in St Albans without a ticket. This was in Iceland and I didn't have change so popped into the shop to get some. I came back out and bought a ticket about five minutes later because the shop was really busy and I had to queue at the till. Unfortunately I do not have the ticket or any way to prove purchase of a ticket after that time.
The letter states that I have already either received a PCN affixed to the vehicle or in the post neither of which has happened. This is the first time I have been made aware of this charge as there was no notice fixed to the car and I have not received one i the post.
Should I appeal or ignore the letter? I was driving the car but my husband is the registered keeper.
Hope you can advise.
