Hi M1... Hoping you can kindly help me too please?
im in exactly the same predicament as faced by Bizzle. http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...ight=earl+haig
My wife parked at Earl Haigh Hounslow car park, and received a Parking Charge Notice.
date of contravention: 03/03/16
photo of vehicle's number plate entering site @ 12:00, departing @ 12:16.
The driver remained in the vehicle at all times.
the wording of the notice by Smart Parking is exactly the same as Bizzles above. The difference is I haven't yet appealed to SP, which I must do by tomorrow (Wed 22nd March) which will be 14 days according to them. However the notice has a date of Wed 9th March, and we most certainly didn't get it before Friday 11th March. Am I also right in reading that any postal parking notice has to allow 21 days before the rate goes up than the usual 14 days if a ticket is slapped on your windscreen in person?
We failed to pay as stopped off to get some lunch whilst between buildings for a funeral, and just wanted to be quick.
In in the appeal online, how would you word it please?
To go along the lines in the appeal against the excessive charge being disproportionate for the offence compared to the £1:10 it costs to park there? How would you go about not naming the driver etc
any assistance very much appreciated!
thanks
