  • Brighton Marina ASDA car park ticket

    Hi,

I know there are a few threads on this already, but I want to make sure I am appealing with the right messaging.

Please help - I have been given a £70 parking charge for parking in Brighton Marina ASDA car park on 25/10/15 by SMART PARKING.

I arrived at 4pm and made some purchases in the ASDA store.
The store closes at 5pm on Sundays and I wasn't aware of any time limits.
Naturally, as the store closes at this time I thought I would be okay with parking for a bit longer, so I went and watched a film with a friend (as it's next to a cinema) and got something to eat in a restaurant. I left the car park at 11:30pm so I was well overdue of the 3 hour limit, but I wasn't aware there would be a limit, especially if the store closed an hour after I arrived.

Please could someone give me some advice on what to say if I am to appeal? I could really do with not paying it. Lesson learned though!

    Thanks

    Speak to asda management too.

    Dear Sirs,

I, as registered keeper, wish to invoke your appeals procedure. The driver was a genuine customer

It is noted that your notice to keeper is fundamentally flawed when compared to PoFA 2102 schedule 4 para 9.

Should you reject my appeal please supply a popla code.

    Yours etc

If/when you get a popla code please let me know.

    M1
