  • MET Parking - McDonalds Heathrow

    Hello,

I have received a PCN from Met Parking for a McDonald stay. We did genuinely eat there albeit we obviously stayed too long. I will upload the charge notice, any advice would be gratefully received!

I appreciate that I have sat it on it maybe two long - Have been real busy at work - If I have to pay it now then so be it but equally as my whole family actually ate in McDonalds it would be nice to not have it be such an expensive meal.

I have found a google street view of the entrance and it does have a sign on the way in but I missed it. It is far away to go to actually photograph the sign/signs

    Thanks in advance

Whilst i prefer to get things over and done with as quickly as possible (appeal/popla) it isn't the only way to win with some companies.

If a company fail to comply with the protection of freedoms act 2012 schedule 4 requirements then the keeper should not be held liable for the charge, only the driver. How do they know who was driving ?

In your position, i'd ignore all the empty threats and only react to a letter before claim or an actual claim because the notice to keeper you posted, like all the met ones i've seen, utterly fails to comply.

Thankyou for your reply. I am also in touch with McDonald's head office offering proof of eating there. They have asked for all the details and have said they will look into it for me so hopefully they can squash it for me. I'll let you know.

Is it worth trying to lodge an appeal late and ask for a code to take it to popla? If you think it's pointless then I'll just ignore the notices until I get something more sinister through.

I doubt it. Of course stupidity knows no bounds

Make sure you never let them know who was driving though

If it can't hurt in any way I suppose there Is no harm in trying to get a code. Should I just use the generic appeal that is posted in the other threads?
