Hi all,
Apologies, I'm new here so not sure if i should be posting somewhere particular so please let me know if i need to repost elsewhere!
So onto the story;
My dad got a parking fine on hospital grounds early in the year which he didn't pay, that went to court and he lost through not defending or attending(and didn't pay so no arguments there!)
Fast forward a few months and I join Credit Expert and check my credit report which surprisingly has a CCJ on it under his name(or a shortened version of it). Ok so we have the same first and last name but a different middle name and obviously different date of birth and i am not registered to drive or own his car.
Since then i have contacted the court who say that the only route is to get it set aside or speak to the solicitors that sent the judgement over.
I spoke to the solicitor and they say that they cannot do anything as they simply submit the details of the person who offended and it is down to the court to allocate it to the correct person.
So what i am wondering is whether someone could advise of a route to take going forward as i cannot afford to pay the £255 application fee to have the CCJ set aside in the immediate future and had gotten to a decent credit rating after a prior issue with having the same name as my dad.
Thanks in advance!
