I have been in dispute with them since May. I received a PCN for overstaying 10 minutes in McDonalds at Gatwick.
I have challenged them on the basis that 1) the photo supplied did not indicate where the picture was taken , it could have been anywhere 2) the timings were very hard to read , it was superimposed along with my number plate on the bottom of the photos 3) I supplied clear medical evidence of a condition similar to IBS requiring repeated visits to the loo which caused me to overstay.
To date despite many e mails they have clearly ignored my challenge and not attempted to answer any of them.
Also can you believe they had the nerve to suggest it would be reasonable to ask the manager of McDonalds to have extra time in relation to item 3.
I have also received 2 reminders chasing payment and now a letter from a debt collector saying that my fine is £160 and no reason for the increase. The letter also indicated that in 2015 the Supreme ruled that a parking charge on private land was legal.
I have contacted the British Parking Association to see if the quality of evidence required was covered within their 46 page Code of Practice. You guessed it wasn't. Its worth looking at their website and reading their Vision Mission, Strategic plan and values all of which they fail on . There seems to be very little about keeping good relations with the general public.
All I have ever asked was a clear response to my challenges not too much to ask is it ??
