Just over a year ago I started to receive correspondence from BW Legal about a parking charge notification from August 2012. I repeatedly denied that the debt was mine despite the fact that they kept on sending me letters and trying to call me. It is now over six months since they wrote to me, or tried to contact me at all, but this morning I was checking my credit score and I saw that they had run a credit search on me in June 2017.
Why would they do this? All of the previous correspondence either hinted at, or stated blatantly that their client (Excel Parking) intended to take me to County Court so I am thinking that they are checking to see what state my finances are in before deciding whether or not to bother. Does that sound feasible? I really don't know why they would do this.
