  • Voluntary Termination rights if paid of the 50% required

Hi Members I'm new to LB but I was hoping for some advice please.

I am consider Voluntary Termination on my car finance with Startline Motor Finance and wanted to know if I have over paid the required 50% by £1289.19 can I ask them to use this for rectifying the damage I have on the passengers door (due to forgetting there was a low levl barrier when reversing from a parking space at work and scraping down the side) or should I get it repaired before doing VT.

Also would I be liable to any further DD due to the overpayment.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

Hello, always worth arguing but it is a bit of a wishy washy argument and unlikely to get away with it. You are still required to look after the car reasonably but do get some quotes on fixing it and see whether it is worth it. No doubt Startline will look t charge you for it amongst other things but that is a decision for you to make yourself. IF the car is not brand new then you could perhaps try and wing it by saying given the age of it then it is reasonable wear and tear.
