Multiple PCN Gladstones Solicitors

I have had multiple NCP PCNs which I have ignored, the debts were passed to Trace and I ignored these too. I have just received two letters from Gladstone Solicitors asking for £640. I would like advice on what I am meant to do now?
Defending myself in court seems absolutley horrifying, and all of the legal jargon completly baffles me.
Please help.

So have you kept all the paperwork? How can anyone help if you don't provide the details? Where when etc.

The Gladstone Solicitors letters could just be from a debt collection company.

I don't have the letters from Trace. I have the letters from Gladstone dated 20/04/2017 and 03/05/2017.
I also recieved one letter from DRP (debt recovery plus) dated 10/05/2017 for a PCN from 20/01/2017.

My PCNs were over a number of months, I don't know how many in total but it is a lot.

I was ignoring them on the advice of a friend who has done this for over 13 years with no action taken.

It is worth adding that i did not recieve the letter dated 20/04/2017 until 09/05/2017 and the one dated 03/05/2017 until 11/05/2017

Some friend !! Perhaps the friend will help you pay. The ignore advice changed in 2012 with the the introduction of the Protection of Freedoms Act allowing the parking companies to hold the keeper liable if they do not know the driver.

So are these for a car park where you live, an office you use regularly, exactly where. Without details it's difficult to help.

You could write to Gladstones and point out that you have no details of the PCNs they are claiming you owe and would they please forward copies to you so that you determine if you do actually owe anything.

It is an NCP carpark on waste ground in the city centre.

I have emailed Gladstone and asked for details of the PCNs they are claiming I have to pay.

I have also emailed Trace and asked for all outstanding PCNs and action taken against my registration plate.

I am hoping that I can avoid court and have a payment plan set up. I havw read that the maximum you can be charged is £100 so if I offer to pay that they will stop all threats of court action. I am currently in a debt management plan which may steer them to accepting my offer.

Thoughts?

Also how has my friend got away with this for so long?

Why pay when you may be able to get out of it. I hope that you have not told them who was driving!

Photos of the signs please. You must be a regular user of that car park. Google street view of the car park would help.

Can you please confirm how many cases you are handling for me and also confirm the payment plans available.

If I have multiple cases would I be able to pay you on a monthly basis say £100 by setting up a SO or Direct Debit.

My first letter was dated 03/05/2017 and I received this on 08/05/2017. Five days later.

If it were me I would not put anything in writing, or even verbally, which could be deemed as an acknowledgement that liability for the alleged debt is accepted.
Imho re the email, I think that you have just about avoided that, but it was skirting dangerously close! :0

Were windscreen tickets or tickets to driver issued at the time of alleged contravention?
The important letters will be the 'Notices to Keeper'......that Gladstones letter is just a letter from their debt collection dept.

That is a bit of a relief. Means I have a bit of time to research.

The tickets were windscreen PCNs.
