Hi. Can anyone give me any advice of where I stand and what to do?
I have received 2 letters from a debt collection company called ZZPS over a parking ticket which they claim was issued on 26.09.16 which I have received no correspondence over.
The letter from ZZPS says I owe £200
It says: our next course of action is to pass this account to our clients solicitor.
However, we are duty bound to advise you that if this does get passed to our solicitors,
, Wright Hassell LLP ( haha what a name) the balance owing will increase by £30 plus Vat
It says a recent Supreme Court ruling (parking Eye v Beavis) has confirmed that a parking charge issued on private land :
Is enforceable
The parking charge does not breach the unfair terms in consumer contracts regulations 1999.
It says: if this remains unpaid, in the event of legal action taking place, court fees and solicitors costs , along with statutory intrest , could be added to the amount owed. The legal process is not simple and if you need advice, places where this can be sought are on the reverse of this letter
Should I take any further notice of this letter or should I just dismiss this letter to the bin.
Advice gladly appreciated
S. Adams.
