Parking Eye Ticket

Hi

I just received a parking tickety in the post from Parking eye for Morrisons in Aberdeen the person had been there for nearly 5 hrs.The car in question was sold 3 days prior to this and it was the new keeper that had parked there.

However the documents for the sale were posted on the 5th and obviously did not get processed on time resulting in myself getting the fine.

i am refusing to pay this as i no longer own the car.

will this go against me?

Normally in Scotland you should ignore. In this case, unless you fancy doing the new owner a favour, tell Parking Eye who the new keeper is. There is no keeper liability in Scotland anyway so it's not your "fine" and they'd struggle if they had the balls to try court which they don't.
