  • Parking Eye Parking Charge Notice

    Hiya,

I wondered if you guys can offer me any advice. I have received a Parking Charge Notice from Parking Eye this morning.
The driver had parked there from 1723 and left at 2037.
Thyey used one of the Pay and Display machines which you have to enter your reg into. To be fair the ticket did say it expired at 19:24 but there was also a sign saying charges were for 8am until 6pm. I have looked online and quite a few people have been stung by the fact it isn't free after 6pm, the charges just change.
I know in the past people have said to ignore these letters and that they will never actually take you to court etc, is that the case?
Or should I just accept that they misread the parking sign (this was at Aire Street car park in Leeds)and just get them pay the ever so kindly (please note sarcasm) reduced fine of £60?
What bugs me the most is the car park is such a crap hole; really badly rough surface and I fell over and All of this was for a pint in wetherspoons!!
    Thanks in advance,
    Nic xx
