Hi MG / M1 this is my first time on any forum but I am fuming after also becoming a victim of exactly the same incident as you at the same car park. I paid £14 for parking last week Sat 20th Aug and came back to find a PCN because ticket had flipped over. Unfortunately after speaking to the car park attendant and having been advised that the tickets 8 digit number is also printed on the reverse side which serves as proof that a valid ticket was on the dashboard my partner (the registered keeper) appealed it and gave her details as the driver expecting it to be cancelled. Yesterday she received a reply from UKP refusing to cancel it. This is absolutely disgraceful and just wanted to say we share your anger and frustration that they can legally get away with it. Why arent tickets printed on both sides or on peel back sticky paper as some do? Like yourself my partner wants to pay it now to avoid further aggravation - I know what I want to do with it.
Final note: If failure to display ticket correctly carried a reduced fine to not having purchased one at all we would probably still begrudge paying it but at least we would not feel we've been robbed.
