Got a £100 parking ticket on Sunday while on St Annes pier, so did at the very least the car next to us, not a bad little earner me thinks.
I took a picture of the notice from the passenger side after the event and had not seen it on the way in. Also did google earth thing and as you will see the signs are not very obvious that there was a parking charge. I would have said may be it was just us being gormless but not the case they have caught many out as I have found when googling.

I have had a little chat with M1 and will follow instructions as given. The way in as you can see on the google earth was only narrow and on a junction also only a few yard from a zebra crossing, you would have had to have had 10 sets of eyes to keep safe and read the bloody notice. Also nowhere can you see a sign leading to the pay point which is tucked neatly under the canopy near the pier entrance and not near the cafe where we went. So going to try fight this with a bit of help from M1
