I wonder if you can help me. I have been issued with a Parking Charge Notice by NSGL Parking at South Gate car park Gloucester on 29 December. The charge is for £80, reduced to £40 if I pay within 14 days. However, I feel there are mitigating circumstances.
Firstly, I parked after 6pm (the end of the pay period) and the PCN was issued at 20:10.
Secondly, the PCN reason states that the car was 'not parked within a marked bay / causing an obstruction’. It was very difficult to tell what was and wasn’t a marked bay as it was so dark but also because the car park was laid out in such a way as to suggest that it was a valid bay. Furthermore, there was more than adequate room for other vehicles to manoeuvre around so I would challenge the comment about causing an obstruction. If I felt my parking would cause an obstruction, I would certainly not park in such an unhelpful and selfish manner.
Do you think there is anything I can do to appeal against this charge?
Thank you in advance.
