Smart Parking fine....help!

Hi

Hoping you can help me in the right approach to appeal a recent smart parking fine I received through the post?

I parked in Matalan Stockport and when trying to obtain my ticket, the machine wouldn't accept the coin, the charge should have been 50p for an hour, I only had a £2 coin and when it wasn't accepted in either machine I popped a note on the dashboard and the coin to prove I had the money just that the machine wouldn't accept it.

I did a bit of shopping and on the way round the shop found a car park refund voucher which deducts the car park charge from your bill....cheekily I used this at the till.

So, not sure how to approach the appeal.....be totally honest and say the machines wouldn't take my coin, or produce the till receipt which indicates a car park voucher was used....thinking I should be honest as showing the receipt will not prove I purchased a ticket?

Dear Sirs,




I, as registered keeper, wish to invoke your appeals procedure. The driver was a genuine Matalan customer.




The notce to keeper is also fundamentally flawed when compared to the legal requirements of PoFA 2012 schedule 4 para 9.




Should you reject my appeal please supply a popla code.
