  • PCN whilst loading

Hi gang. I was given a parking ticket this morning whilst parked in a residents parking bay. I had gone into a house to collect a permit and was preparing to load large furniture from the house. When I came out with the permit, an enforcement officer was there and had already issued a ticket. The times on the ticket were from 11.10 To 11.15 which means he only waited for 5 minutes. I explained that we were moving furniture inside the house etc but he said it was too late. Can I contest this? Is there a certain letter I should use? Whats the best way, recorded post, in person or e maIL? Thanks in advance. Rach

      Hi M1.
You helped me out last time too! Thanks for that!
So it was Hackney council, a parking warden.

Well hopefully somebody can help. I believe there usually is a loading/unloading exemption on council stuff but not sure if that applies in a car park rather than just on street. Hopefully someone who knows will come soon.

Hmmm its not really saying anything about how long you can be away from the vehicle (i.e. in a house collecting items) I wasn't sure if they had to see you loading in a certain amount of time or something?
