  • QDR debt recovery letter for ZZPS

    Hi,

Family member has received this letter demanding £160.
The initial PPN letters were ignored based on research and advice, which indicated said PPNs were not legally enforceable in Scotland.

Family member is somewhat worried on receipt of this letter and wants to pay the £160. I assume its is and its designed to look official and intimidating.
If its a scare tactic its worked, I have suggested family member waits until I get some sound advice from here!

    Any advice appreciated!

    best regards

    Recardo.

Keep it in the bathroom in case you run out of proper bogroll.

Your thoughts are correct. Scary stories create victims. Only letters before action or court papers should be responded to. File it.

I have just received the same letter but for £180. Debt passed on by civil enforcement ltd. I live in N Ireland and parking fines can't be enforced here either unless it is from the council.

Has there been any further developments on this?

After Beavis parking fines can be enforced anywhere that the supreme court is binding upon. However in NI as in Scotland there is no keeper liability so unless they know who the driver is they're screwed. http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/incompetent-vcs-lose-scottish-test-case.html

Of course unless a party is the owner of the "debt" or it has been lawfully assigned then they can safely be ignored as they cannot take legal action. QDR ZZPS et al are still pissing in the wind.

They say they have video footage.

          Is that likely?

Not really but also remember, even if they did and you signed a confession ZZPS and QDR have no legal standing. Their client might.

Excellent point. The debt has been sold to QDR. Civil Law Enforcement aren't going to care anymore.

              many thanks for your response

Just continue to ignore these letters (and keep them for emergency bum wipe). Its just scare mongering in a quasi official looking format!
My family member has not received any more since the last scary looking one from QDR in Sept.
