Parking eye

My son was issued a parking notice for £100 by parking eye for entering a cAt park at a pub for 10 minutes to pick up a customer, I searched online To find they do this all the time and advice was to ignore we have now received 3 in total Today being called a letter before county court claim. My son did not leave the vehicle and go off but was merely picking up someone. Does anyone know what the best thing to do is
