I have received a fine from Smartparking for £40 for over staying in the Asda car park in Shipley West Yorkshire it shows me arriving at 11:21:54 and leaving at 13:57:15 I am disabled and put my blue badge on show I didn't see any sign that told me how long I could stay the letter doesn't say how long I over stay if Asda has a sign then it should be placed where it can be seen from anywhere in the car park how do I challenge this fine could anyone advise me this is the first time this as happened to me I have parked in the car park lots of times will not be shopping at Asda anymore

Speak to Asda (manager if possible). Evidence of spending on the day and regularly in the past would help. Don't tell them i'm never shopping here again even if true or there is no incentive to help. Of course if it MIGHT put you off and they think you spend loads they may be more inclined to help.
Failing that get on facebook and twitter because they don't like publicity.
Also appeal to Smart.
Dear Sirs,
I, as registered keeper, wish to invoke your appeals procedure. The driver was a genuine customer and did not see any signs. In any event your charges are penal in nature and not a genuine pre estimate of loss.
I am under no statutory obligation to name the driver and will not do so.
If you reject my appeal please supply a popla code.
