Hi... I work at a hospital in south wales where Vinci manage the parking.
Following a move I started parking at the hospital, and without a permit incurred regular PCN's.. at the time many colleagues said ''don't worry, don't pay, they cannot enforce..''. between august and dec probably picked up 30-40 PCN's, but as registered keeper I did not receive letters until christmas due to moving..
I stopped parking onsite, but have recently received a delayed letter from solicitors asking for £864 in respect of 8 PCN's...(£108 each), on behalf of ZZPS Ltd, otherwise they will seek to obtain a CCJudgement.
This was dated 4 weeks ago, and they gave me 14 days to reply. I only received the letter 4 days ago.
1) Can they make me pay £108 per fine...?
2) If it goes to court, can they legally make me pay ?
3) Should I write to them and ask to accept a lower amount in settlement..?
4) if so, who to write to ? Vinci or the solicitors ?
5) Can they do the same for all the other PCN,s ? Could I face another 4-5 demands for £884 ??
At the moment I am in negative cash flow... have incurred over £4000 debt in the last 6 months, so not in a position to pay such big fines....how best to tackle..?
Is there a maximum limit they can charge..? can it be excessive charges for loss incurred ?
Any advice would be greatly apprieciated....
saw previous post on Vinci, but not sure what difference between driver and keeper makes...
