  • CEL contract with the Co-op

I read somewhere on a forum ( but now cant find it ) that the contract between CEL and the Co-op commenced in mid 2012 and was due to expire mid 2015, but I think terminated early by the Co-op. Does anyone happen to know if those dates are correct and cover all Co-op car parks nationally. I am dealing with a summons when it is claimed I overstayed my welcome in 02/2012 which is prior to the commencement of their contract.

    Grateful for any help.

Have you received a summons, or a county court claim?
Do CEL know who the driver was? As PoFA was not in force in 02/2012 they can only proceed against the driver and not the registered keeper.

Our resident expert will be along in due course to give more guidance.

There probably was a previous contract in place. It may or may not have been creative that contracted rather than CEL themselves.
