Have been trying to work out how to post a new thread on her for ages! So, sorry, I'm hijacking!
In February, I received 2 'PCNs' from parking control management a week apart for parking in the car park attached to the block of flats I live in. They stated that my permit wasn't showing, when it was, and the photos they took as 'evidence' were taken in the. Middle of the night with the flash shining directly on the area of the windscreen where the permits were situated, thus making them invisible in their photos.
I appealed to parking control management, stating both PCN numbers and my reasons for appeal.
They replied, and issued me with a verification code so I could lodge an appeal with POPLA, which i did (and was successful).
I didn't realise that the verification code that was issued to me was only valid to one fine. I appealed to both PCNs, expected the response to be for both appeals?! The dates of both PCNs and the PCN number of both tickets were clearly headlined the letter.
Since this has happened I have been written to by parking control management, who I have written to,but they will not accept they're in the wrong for not issuing me with a verification code. I have emailed POPLA who initially told me they could do nothing without a verification code.
I have since been contacted by a debt collection agency called newlyn plc, they have written to me, tried phoning me and texting me. Each time they have contacted,e I have emailed them using the email address on their website, but they always choose to not respond. I have stated in these emails that I want written communication so I have a record of all conversations in case it goes to court.
I received another phone call today, what is the best way to deal with this? I will not pay a fine when it clearly wrong as the other appeal was successful!
