  • Should I appeal to POPLA?

Hi! I've just had my appeal to PPS rejected and could do with some advice on whether an appeal to POPLA is likely to be rejected. I parked for 5 days at Hull ferry port. Paid the correct parking fee and displayed the ticket on my dashboard as instructed. The following day the ticket had apparently moved so only the reverse of it could be seen (a gust of wind through the vents maybe?) so I was issued with a ticket. PPS claim that as the ticket wasn't displayed I have to pay the fine, despite evidence that I paid the full amount and DID display it. I claimed that the ticket must have been visible initially as otherwise the parking fine would have been issued sooner. Also, the paper the parking ticket is issued on is extremely thin and lightweight, with no sticker to secure it to the windscreen so I was unable to make it more secure; I pointed this out but they did not comment on it. Should I appeal to POPLA and risk losing and having to pay £100 instead of the original £50? It just seems so unfair!
