  • PCN Euro Car Parks

PCN received stating that there was a parking overstay beyond the maximum ( the vehicle's parking time was 2hous 26 mins in total)

The driver was shopping at a retail park, buying a new laptop from one shop, following some helpful customer consultation, comparison and assistance from shop service assistant (2hrs 10mins). Following this the driver then purchased lunch and coffee form the adjacent shop - 16mins - (also within the retail park) before leaving the car park.
A receipt for both can be presented.

Should the unfair PCN be appealed - seems completely unfair that a shopping experience - which was for an expensive item and required adequate time, should be penalized for using the customer car park in order to undertake both retail purchases.

PCN was received 10th Oct 2024
PCN "discounted" period runs out 16th Oct 2024.

    Thanks in advance

So I had some correspondence with the retailer (Currys electrical) following a complaint to the customer services department - they got the store manager to contact me.

    See thread below

    RETAILER:

    Good afternoon [ ***** ]

I have tried to call you this afternoon and left a voicemail message with the department direct contact number regarding the parking fine received.

If you would be kind enough to
    • Confirm you have not yet paid the parking fine
    • Supply the PCN number, make, model and registration number of the vehicle concerned

I will send this off the Car Park management company.

    Hi [ ***** ]

    Thankyou.
Once you hear back from them – would you kindly forward this to me or confirm they have cancelled.

    Much appreciated

I'll wait to hear back from them - but assume that I can ignore the PCN now?
