Hi I am new here and hoping someone will be able to give some advice. I was parked on a public road displaying a disabled blue badge on a loading bay in Glasgow. Upon my leaving I noticed receiving a parking ticket. To be noted the road marking that used to display 'Loading Bay' has faded and no longer displayed in full or clearly readable. I recall my neighbour who had a disabled bay allocated outside his house and when he had moved away, over time the markings such as the word 'Disabled Bay' and the box markings faded to the point you can no longer recognise it was a disabled bay and the local council parking attendant stopped issuing tickets. I had therefore assumed this was okay to park. There is however a pole on the kerb that states this is a loading bay which I unfortunately did not notice. I have 28 days to pay £60 or a reduced cost £30 within 14 days. I'm just needing advice do I have any leg to stand on to appeal the ticket or should I just pay up. If I am in the wrong I do not mind paying. Thank you
