  • PCN from council

    Hi,

I was given a PCN from the council when I was loading. It said I was parked in a special enforcement area adjacent to a footway, cycle track or verge lowered to meet the level of the carriageway.

I was not parked. I was loading and item I had to load was very heavy. I had to leave my car on a dropped kerb to carry out the loading because there was no where else I could have done it. Can I please get some advice?

    Thank you

Loading/unloading is an exemption. Appeal on the grounds that the contravention did not occur, since the loading exemption applies.Explain the circumstances, heavy item, nowhere else to park, only took as long as absolutely necessary and include copy of delivery/collection note.
