Being chased by Newlyn
Hi there
Wonder if anyone can give me any advice
left my house on Fri to find a hand delivered letter from Newlyn Baliff stating I need to pay £514 now or they will come back to take control of my belongings.
I called Newlyn as this was the first time I had received any communication from them. I asked weres the build up letters as this is the first one ive received. They claim they sent me 2 letters prior. Very strange as i have not received any letter.
I didnt know anything about this or what the fine was for. Apprantly its a fine that i didnt pay to croydon council (was picked up on camera) that I should have received on 21st April last year. I didnt receive this fine as i moved address and didnt change my licence.
Newlyn claim they wrote to me twice at my current address. I deffinately didnt receive any letter from them if i had then i would have paid them when i received the first letter
I was told by Newylyn if i dont pay now they will come back and take my goods. I have a new car and scared they may clamp or remove it for the money
I have no choice but to pay newlyn before Monday in order to keep my goods.
Once i pay is there anyway of getting back my money as i didnt receive the 2 letters?
