Unfortunately I appealed a PNC on the grounds that I had paid for an hours parking and surmised that the wrong number plate may have been entered onto the machine that issues the parking tickets. I had been assisted by a parking attendant as I was having difficulty operating the machine and it appeared to be rejecting my cash payment. I finally located the parking attendant who remembered helping me but missed the 28 day limit for the POPLA appeal by 7 days and now SmartParking are telling me that my debt is in the hands of a debt collector. Is there anything that I can do, I believe that this related to an infringement that occurred in October with the PNC arriving in December.
Fee was 70p and hour, fine £100 and now in the hands of a debt collector, I would rather go to court than pay these thieves.
