  • One Parking Solution Llangrannog Car Park

Hi I have just lost an appeal to One Parking Solution. I went over the parking time by 30 mins after a family gathering but had overpaid by 50p for ticket initially. Should I pay the reduced £60 parking charge now or go to a Popla appeal? £60 fine for a measly missing 50p seems so high. Pensioners with not a lot of spare cash - but is it worth an appeal? Would appreciate any reply. Thanks
To add insult to injury on the back of the ticket issued is a 10% off voucher for a cafe in Bexhill on Sea - 300 miles away from Llangrannog in Wales

So you have given no information. Post up the NTK received redacting personal information but lea e dates. Copy of your appeal would help. Even photos of the signs. Has the keeper been identified? Simple yes or no

They have the name of the driver who is the keeper.
This is the appeal decision letter
.' Thank you for your appeal received on 24/05/2021 regarding the above detailed Parking Charge Notice. We have reviewed the case and considered the comments that you have made. This appeal has been considered in conjunction with the evidence gathered by the operative at the time of the event and any relevant mitigating circumstances you have supplied with your appeal. We are writing to inform you that your appeal has been unsuccessful. Your vehicle was not parked in accordance with the terms and conditions on site, and you have not provided sufficient evidence to show otherwise. At the time the Parking Charge Notice (PCN) was issued, your vehicle was observed being parked on site without a payment for the full period of parking. Your parking session was valid 11:42 - 14:42. Your vehicle did not leave site until 15:12. Your vehicle was parked on site for 30 minutes after the paid parking session expired. If you were unable to leave site when the parking session expired, you should have purchased an additional parking session. The site offers the opportunity to purchase parking sessions through the JustPark smartphone app and telephone service. You do not need to be on site to purchase a parking session. All motorists are provided with a grace period of 10 minutes to leave site or purchase an additional parking session after the parking session has expired. If you are unable to comply with the terms and conditions you should make alternative arrangements. One Parking Solution does provide motorist the opportunity to pay their parking charge with a payment plan. Payment plans are only available on the full £100 charge. If you would like to set up a payment plan, please phone the office. We find this parking charge to be issued correctly and we are therefore unable to cancel the Parking Charge Notice. We must advise you that once the discounted settlement rate (If Applicable) passes it will not be offered again. You have now reached the end of our internal appeals procedure. You may now either pay the amount due OR appeal further with POPLA. If you still believe that the Parking Charge Notice (PCN) was issued incorrectly, then there is an independent appeals service called POPLA (Parking on Private Land Appeals) and you can submit an appeal to them online using the following link https://popla.co.uk and entering the ten digit verification code at the top of this page to authenticate your appeal. This code is valid for 28 days from the date your appeal is declined. Please note, that should you choose to use the POPLA service, you will no longer be entitled to pay the lower rate of the charge. By law we are also required to inform you that Ombudsman Services (www.ombudsman-services.org/) provides an alternative dispute resolution service that would be competent to deal with your appeal. However, we have not chosen to participate in their alternative dispute resolution service. As such, should you wish to appeal then you must do so to POPLA, as explained above. If you are not appealing to POPLA you are now required to make a payment of £60 to reach us by 13/07/2021 or £100 to reach us by 27/07/2021 to avoid this charge being passed on to our debt recovery specialist and/or to avoid court proceedings. Please be advised that any further action may incur additional costs. Payments can be made by cheque or postal order made payable to One Parking Solution Limited. Please ensure you write your Parking Charge Notice reference number and vehicle registration clearly on the reverse. It is advised that you do not send cash through the post. Payments can also be made using a debit or credit card by calling the automated payment line on 03330 063 428 or paying online at www.oneparkingsolution.co.uk Please note that we are unable to enter into any telephone conversations regarding appeals. Our appeals process is full and final and we are unable to issue any further correspondence regarding this matter directly with you.
      Yours sincerely,
Appeals Department One Parking Solution Ltd.

I have attached the ticket overpaid by 25p.
I have attached letter sent to confirm I could act on behalf of my husband.
original appeal written by us went into the portal and I cannot retrieve it. I have written to ask for a copy,
Worn out with all this now, just need to know really if I should just pay £60 or appeal to POPLA saying it is not an acceptable amount for the amount of time we were over. We have tried to appeal.

I'm sorry not sure what you mean by NTK
This article online has signage of car park in the article. Car Park – Pwyllgor Lles Llangrannog Welfare Committee. I can't work out how to save the URL. The car park sign pictures are at the end of the article. Good background to the hassle this company is causing hundreds of people. They must be raking the money in.

NTK = Notice to Keeper The original notice received You need to read some of the other parking threads.

It may not be an acceptable amount but the driver allegedly breached the contract they agreed to.

I'm sorry but had just worked that out. Yes I have read many of the other threads too.I have the NTK but no way of scanning and uploading it at present.
And I agree it may not be an acceptable amount but as I had overpaid initially because we had no more change and put £4.00 in machine - it meant for another 50p we would have had enough for 4hrs. An expensive shortfall on our part and money we can ill afford to pay to these crooks. But I think its time to just pay it so that I can sleep at night.

Thank you Ostell for your replies and taking an interest in someone else's foibles. It was a genuine oversight on our part but the lasting memory will be of rocking a little baby to sleep on the beach in Llangrannog after a very long Covid Lockdown. It was lovely to meet her at last.... Worth every penny!! One thing is for sure I will walk from the free car park at the top of the hill from now on and never drive over the car park boundary again. They won't have any more of my cash... but they are making thousands of pounds for themselves from that car park.

Because of that car park my wife and I rarely go to Llangrannog now.
Used to visit the caffin patio, the Ship and Pentre Arms fairly regularly, but it is now a drive through only!

Hi Des8, Glad you know the place well. It's so sad that the car park has turned so many people away from enjoying themselves there...and everyone warns visitors off. We did visit again after a lovely walk to Penbryn and had a meal in The Ship. Watched a number of people from our window seat trying to understand the signs ( in Welsh and English) and try to contact by phone etc, etc, Most people just turned around and left after a while and they will probably get PCNs too. Glad our car was parked up the hill!

posting on old thread to show one way of dealing with parking companies in Wales https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-61409004

I do wish organisations like the BBC would stop referring to these invoices as fines
