I have rented a van from sixt rental to move house. And I have parked van behind my flats overnight, there were more then 5 cars were abandoned near the garages so I thought its oki to leave it for a night. And found a space and parked it. I wasn't blocking the garage, there was a black car next to my van was bloacking the garage and it seems like it been left there more then a year. Long story short, received fine from london parking solution and sixt rental already charged me £40 just for forwarding me the letter. Is there any ground to appeal against this fine please?

You edit so that the identity of the driver cannot be inferred.* Use "the driver ...."etc.

As Sixt suggest you wait for your own notice to arrive.* This will be a Notice to Hirer and with it should be a copy of your rental agreement and the NTK (which you've already seen).* Invariably the enclosures are not there so they cannot hold the hirer liable because of this POFA fail.

When you get your own NTH come back here.

Later you can have a go at Sixt for that charge.* *It is not a fine, it's an invoice.* Have a look at your hire conditions to see what it says about the conditions for making that charge.* Does it mention fines and penalties only.
