  • Help with MET parking appeal

    Hi there,

I'm new to the forum and am looking for urgent help with a penalty I have received. In short I am a member at my local places for people gym, upon arrival you are required to register your number plate on a tablet for up to 3.5 hours parking. I have recieved the fine as I was apparently parked in breach of the conditions set in the car park.

Naively I rushed to the appeal as I am a member at the gym who pays monthly and assumed this would be enough to waive the charge (I was wrong) and have now received my POPLA code. Additionally i have chased with gym management who are very unhelpful and reluctant to contact MET to get my charge revoked.

if anyone can provide any advise as to what steps to take next I would be super grateful.

To provide some further context to my apparent offence my number plate details were not picked up in the system, either due to a miskeyed digit or simply forgetting. My stay was no longer than the time limit.
