  • B W Legal - Claim Form Recieved , PLease Help

Hi all, i'm sure you get pestered with posts like this but I would really like some help in regards to this letter I have recieved.

2 years ago I parked in a retail car park outside and recieved a fine but I cannot remember the circumstances surrounding the fine. It was originally from Britannia CarPark. I have recently started receiving letters from BW legal and now a claim form with the total amount now £231.14 with legal representative costs and court fee costs. I am completely lost on what I should do as this is just a new world to me. Can someone please help.

I presume you no longer have the original PCN. Posting that here would help.

Use the details and password on the form to acknowledge the claim. Do not put anything into the defence. This gives you 33 days from date of issue to get your defence into court.. you are late already si do the Ack online NOW.

Give us a bit more information.

Hi Ostell thanks so much for replying.

I have lost the original PCN it was years ago. From memory I think it was my fault I am happy to pay the fine but a bit annoyed by how high the figure has gone in terms of solicitors costs etc. Can anything be done about that?

Go back and edit your posts so that the identity of the driver cannot be inferred.

Write to BWL and demand that they send you all the documents that they intend to rely on in court. They must have them to hand in order to issue the claim and you therefore require them within 7 days.

Now start working on a defence
