    Met Parking - Starbucks Stansted

    Hi guys,

    i hope you can help. We have received a parking charge through the post from met parking for going over the allotted time at Starbucks stansted. We have missed the early payment and the payment due date for £100 is fast approaching. We were a total of 75 minutes but the signs were not clear, the only sign we saw (it was dark at the time) was that the car park couldn’t be used for McDonalds which it wasn’t. We went into Starbucks and have receipts to prove this. I tried approaching Starbucks for assistance but they have not come back to me hence missing the earlier date. Can anyone recommend a template to appeal it to met parking?

      Could you post up a pic of the original Notice to Keeper? (Front & rear, obscure personal details, leave times & dates visible).

          Golden rule....do not ID the driver, even by inference.

          MET, so BPA member, so POPLA.
          Best just to send a generic 'naff off' appeal to the parking co.
          The object being to get a POPLA code.

          Just say that the Notice to Keeper is not compliant with the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 Schedule 4 &/or BPA Code of Practice. Please cancel or, if not, send a POPLA code.
          Send it as the registered keeper.

            Thanks. Would it be advisable to just copy the paragraph you have put into a letter to Met parking? Sorry very new to this. I had read in here to not ID the driver so will ensure that I don’t!
