Hi,
I have a ICD fitted and have had my licence revoked for 6 months. I had it fitted beginning of November 2021
I understand from the DVLA website that 6 months is usually associated with having an ICD fitted due to sustained VT. My diagnosis is NON sustained VT and only on exertion ( I was running) and only 2 episodes in 3 years.
Since I gave up the running I’ve had no episodes of VT but the hospital still wanted me to have the ICD fitted ‘just in case’
As well as the ICD I am also on some medication as further protection against any further episodes of VT
my question is, if I write to the DVLA explaining the above do you think they will review the decision to revoke my license for 6 months and let me have my license back sooner.
thanks
