  • Few questions regarding contract and finance

    Hi,
I plan on VT'ing my my current Hire Pirchase Agreement but have a few questions regarding the contract.

After reading posts on here I have learned the finance company will claim back any money they can so,

    1) On my contract there no figures in the boxes for Permitted Maximum Mileage (nor Guaranteed Future Value or the boxes for excess miles and price for them). Will this be a mistake or are there no limit? Follow on if this is a mistake on their part what will happen to my contract?

    2) I have taken the option for Gap Insurance and have seen I can cancel (which I may do before the VT), how would the affect my payments? Would Black Horse just need to recalculate payments?

Sorry for the wall of text, when the day comes I want to be fully prepared!
    Thanks.

If there is nothing in the maximum permitted mileage then they cannot argue anything on excess mileages and charge you for it, there would be no grounds for it.

Can't really comment on the Gap insurance, depending on the terms of the insurance whether you contract for the same period of the HP or is it a 12monthly contract or auto renewable? If you can simply cancel it then your monthly payments will be adjusted accordingly but you would need to confirm to Blackhorse how that is worked out and what the new payments would be.
If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you
