  • Minor reverse dilemma

    Hi,

An awkward dilemma, not sure how to resolve this.

A family member has slightly reversed in to a car behind. Damage was very minor, left a note to contact. Family member took picture of the damage after it happened.

The owner has been in contact on the incident day and said she will get some quotes. So family member ask for quotes too, quote was £160. Have not heard from the owner since until now (3 weeks later), with a quote of £250. The issue lies with the quote for the damage.

As you can see the damage is different to the original pic taken from family member. And they want £250, for the damage, which clearly is different to the original pic, and why did they contact 3 weeks later to get back in touch, something not right.

    Any help or advice appreciated.

    Cheers.

Call their " bluff" just a short letter stating there is a photograph of the
damage taken immediately after the collision and suggest that they
    reconsider their claim.
