  • Parking Eye Letter Before County Court Claim

    Hi everyone,

I have just received a letter before county court claim from parking eye which relates to me overstaying in a car park by 22 minutes.
I had paid to park for 2 hours at a cost of £1 and i am not disputing the fact that i overstayed just the fact that they are wanting to charge me £100 which i feel is a very hefty penalty.

Would this be a case that would be worth defending in court or should i just pay ?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's a personal choice. However i'd say yes it is worth defending.

Having said that it depends how confident you are, what info you have (tickets signage etc)
