hello, apologies if this is the wrong place but I'm new to the forum. I received a CCJ because I filled out a court claim to parking eye agreeing to pay in instalments. Never having seen a court claim before, I didn't realise that if I paid in instalments (I am a Teachign Assistant and everyone pays in instalments these days!) I would get a CCJ. Which means I now can't get a mortgage. I feel completely and utterly screwed over by Parking eye. Can anyone help?

Have you checked if the CCJ is registered? I know someone with a ccj that isn't on credit files or the register of defaults... I won't go into the details here but it's not a simple case.
The only other option is to set it aside. I can't see how you could do that using legitimate means. There may be ways to do it, but they wouldn't be lawful.

Shows how powerful a CCJ can be and why the parking cos are using them more until the courts outlaw them appeals must be used all the way
I'm sure you can work out if you were willing to perjure yourself you could say or do to have it set aside. However - I would never advise even dreaming of doing this. Risk vs reward means it's incredibly stupid.
