  • DVLA and Bailiff advice needed

Hi everyone i am after some advice to this highly complexed situation, i shall do my best to give you as much information appertaining to it as i can but if i am missing something then feel free to ask.

The original offence was 4/10/2004 keeping vehicle without tax and insurance - for while i admit did nothing about paying the fine and totally forgot about it. However in 2009 when i went onto job seekers allowance the fees were being taken directly out of my benefits thus fine being paid (or so i thought) also along with the fine went with it points put on my license which stay on for 4 years (have applied for points to be removed and received my new license (DVLA wouldn't do this without the fine being settled)

So as far as i was concerned all was done and dusted which brings us up to more recent times and where the complexity of the situation appears. In 2013 i relocated to a new town where i lodge in a family house and also changed name, gender so a complete identity change as part of my transition as being transgendered all legal documents has been changed to show my new name. So today imagine my surprise when a bailiff from Marston Group shows up to enforce a distress warrant for the above mentioned offence, stating that he has the power to force entry and not only seize goods from myself but goods from all over the house not just mine. Now had it of not been for the kind nature of someone i live with then i am sure that would of been the case but the alleged out standing fine has been been paid.

    Advice please!!!
