  • Cyclist Made False claim

I was involved in an incident with a cyclist on 10/03/2023, where the cyclist with no lights or high vis clothes at night and who was on a roundabout, claimed ithat collided with her and knocked her off her bike and drove off without reporting the accident, i have dashcam footage which shows i dindt drive off i stopped at the scene for 10 minutes, anyway the police came and charged me the following day with leaving the scene of an accident and failing to report an accident and another one i cant remember, my insurance has already paid out injury damages and my no claims is affected and policy is up, its been over a year now and i have heard nothing from the police or courts, i still have my dashcam footage that proves she is lying but i seem unable to do anything about it? any advice, also iam in scotland

If you used full stops and other punctuation it would be easier to identify your actual question. Is this about whether you will be prosecuted?
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read this: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

I think it's about, can I do something about the insurance renewal costs?

(as the claim made against me will no doubt increase the insurance costs - add to the fact that it generally increases without any claim anyway).

I suppose get a quote, then speak to the 'underwriters' with evidence, might work.
