  • Black box not working

A few weeks ago my ex asked me to check the black box fitted to her car as her insurance company said they were not receiving a signal. I checked the connections which were fine and the unit had a red flashing light. I assume that indicated it was receiving power.
They have now sent an email asking to send photos as they are still not receiving a signal. I aslo suggested that she sends a video so they can see the light flashing.
They are threatening to cancel her policy.
Seems to me it is clear that it is the unit that is faulty. Can they just cancel her policy?

Technically, car insurers can cancel a policy at any time, and for any reason.
    Check the policy wording
